The organization focuses its work in the areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility, and teaches the character development values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. It operates as a cause-driven organization addressing community needs through programs, developing relationships with and among members, collaborating with others, ensuring access, inclusion and engagement for all, and advocating to influence public policy.
The Corona-Norco Family YMCA states that it is committed to nurturing the potential of children through Youth Development, improving health and well-being by promoting Healthy Living, and fostering Social Responsibility by providing ways to give back and support neighbors. It is committed to providing access to individuals and states that no one is excluded, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance.
For youth sports, all athletes will need to purchase a new jersey for the upcoming season, and jersey shorts are a one-time purchase that can be used across all sports programs offered at the YMCA. Jersey sales have been moved to a new online uniform store through the official partner Momentec.
One participant in the music program shared, “Being a part of the YMCA has given me self-discipline and a strong desire to create music. My musical dreams are to one day become an artist and learn to play all genres.” Coach Ana stated, “Coaching youth sports at the YMCA has been a profoundly fulfilling experience for me. The YMCA's commitment to fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience aligns perfectly with my personal values.”
