Torah Lishmah means “learning for its own sake.”
The Torah Lishmah class* is an opportunity for young people past B.Mitzvah age to continue their Jewish learning on their own terms. Every month students will meet Reb Irwin at a convenient café or at his house. (Coffee is on him.) Together we will explore Jewish texts, history, mythology, philosophy – whatever the class decides they’d like to dive deeper into. This is learning for its own sake – not B.Mitzvah prep, not readying for a test. Learning for the pleasure and enrichment that only learning can provide.
*Torah Lishmah requires a minimum of 4 registrants, so encourage your Post-B.Mitzvah friends to register, too!

Class Dates: Once per month, October 2026 - May 2027, Dates TBD
Where: Torah Lishmah meets once per month at Ner Shalom, Rabbi Irwin’s house, or a nearby coffee shop
