The Dana Point Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program serves ages 6 to 16. It includes the Sailing Development Program on Saturdays, September 19 to October 24, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, and the Fall Break “Advanced” Sailing Program from Monday to Wednesday, November 23 to 25, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The program uses RS Teras, Lasers, RS Zests, CFJs, and C420s.

About the provider
The program has been running since 1952. Its leadership team includes Junior Sailing Co-Chairs Jason Audiss and Laura Burgos, along with DPYC Sailing Director Darayus Mistry. The mission states that the program provides a safe, supportive, and competitive environment for youth sailors to learn, race, and represent DPYC in Southern California and beyond. Participation includes regattas from local to international waters, and the program represents DPYC at national and international levels.
