Drobots Summer Programs has been offering creative summer camps to students nationwide for over twenty years. The program states that beginners, intermediate, and experienced creators are all welcome, and that no drone experience or drone equipment is necessary. It describes its drone programs as “Safe. Fun. Educational.” and describes the overall environment as safe, positive, encouraging, and friendly. The mission statement says that beginner or advanced participants can build self-esteem and self-confidence while taking coding and engineering skills to the next level in this environment.

Jonathan H. is an M.I.T Professor of Aeronautics & Astronautics associated with the program. Drobots Summer Programs is honored to be included in Forbes Magazine and The Wall Street Journal and is fully accredited by STEM.org. The program describes itself as “The #1 STEM Summer Programs For Kids & Teens,” notes that it offers convenient summer camp locations nationwide for kids and summer programs for teens, and uses the phrase “Where Technology Meets Fresh Air™.” It also notes that grant-funded summer programs are available for multiple program types.

The program highlights that it is for kids and teens of all experience levels who are interested in drones, robotics, game design, coding, Roblox, LEGO and K’Nex robotics, technology, AI, AR, VR, entrepreneurship, engineering, business, and drone competition. It offers a variety of game development and computer programming summer camps for boys and girls in grades K–12 and states that participants can jumpstart their future by learning the same professional computer languages and tools used by Epic Games, Supercell, EA Sports, Apple, Intel, Google, and Facebook. Additional activities include StemQuest adventure programs, LEGO and K’nex STEM Jr. Engineering, constructing projects inspired by cities, garbage trucks, and catamarans, building X-Wings, Energy Catapults, and Defense Turrets, Future Tech AI | AR | VR | MR projects, voice user interfaces, image recognition software, mixed reality with AR Kit, search and rescue in drone camps, agility and obstacle course racing, and entrepreneurship in drone camps.

Parent testimonials describe Drobots Summer Programs as a “terrific program” with strong staff and note that one child gained a sense of ownership and working knowledge of quadcopter and related technology during a week of camp. Another testimonial thanks the program for a “wonderful week of exploration and discovery” and mentions that a child enjoyed drone racing and that much of the program time was outside. One parent states, “You nailed it! Drones are the new Lego Robotics,” and describes a shift from a fascination with Minecraft and Lego Robotics to full immersion into drones, with teens using what they learned in the classroom. Another parent says, “Wow! The Drobots Drone Camp exceeded all of my expectations,” and calls it the most exciting STEM program their children have been part of, noting the combination of creative and explorative activities with time spent outside and not behind a screen all day.
