AYSO Area 11 Z Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs that follow AYSO's Six Philosophies: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. The program includes specific offerings such as the EPIC (VIP) program, AYSO United, AYSO PLAY!, and KIDS ZONE as part of its youth soccer activities. AYSO's Vision is to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives, and its Mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on these Six Philosophies.
AYSO Area 11 Z Youth Soccer Programs is part of the American Youth Soccer Organization, whose President, Michael Karon, was recognized by Stack Sports for his impact in the world of sports volunteering. AYSO provides youth soccer opportunities for boys and girls within the communities of Downey, Lakewood/Bellflower, Long Beach, Huntington Park, Pico Rivera, South Gate, Wilmington, Montebello, Lynwood, East Los Angeles, and Compton. AYSO is also involved in partnerships that include work with Chicago Public Schools to enhance youth sports programming, the US Center for Mental Health & Sport with a focus on player and volunteer wellness, and the Northland Sports Alliance to expand soccer programming in Kansas City.
