Summer Dance Camps

Summer Dance Camps offers a variety of themed dance sessions, including Hip-Hop Dance Camp, Summer Dance Experience, Princess For A Day mini day camp, Super Mario Dance Camp, Baton Twirling Camp, and a Ballet Intensive. Campers take part in activities such as learning hip-hop dance techniques in popping and locking, learning different styles of dance including Ballet/Lyrical, Hip-Hop/Jazz, and Musical Theater, creative movement, themed games, singing, coloring, ballerina arts and crafts, princess lessons, story time, learning a princess dance routine, baton twirling, learning new twirling skills, learning fun routines, learning creative choreography, technique training, and performance opportunities. Some camps include mini showcases at the end of the week or end of each week, and Princess For A Day includes borrowed tutus and may include meeting and taking pictures with a real princess.

El Dorado Dance Academy states that its mission is to instill, through the teaching of dance, “INTEGRITY IN DANCE AND LIFE.” The Summer Dance Experience sample schedule notes that campers should bring a snack and water for the snack break. The camps are led by Mark & Ella Nash and the El Dorado Dance Academy Staff. Parents have shared feedback such as their children loving dancing at the academy, instructors being patient and keeping classes fun but structured, and describing the teachers as wonderful and the shows as phenomenal.
