West Contra Costa Youth Soccer League offers competitive soccer and recreational soccer, including an In-House Recreational Program. The program includes matches from the U-6 age group through the U-12 age group, with a Fall 2021 Season for the In-House Recreational Program. The league also holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM).
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: For the Fall 2021 In-House Recreational Program, registration begins in June, teams are formed and coaches assigned in July, practices begin in August, and matches are intended to be played on Saturdays from early/mid September through late October/early November.
West Contra Costa Youth Soccer League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with 40 years of soccer in West Contra Costa County. Its mission statement describes a commitment to providing a high-quality playing environment at all levels and lists guiding principles that include developing a love of the game, balancing winning with sportsmanship, mutual respect among players, team officials, spectators, referees, and the game, and developing confidence and sportsmanship by helping players master the skills of the game. The league’s leadership includes Tyler Darke, President – WCCYSL | FCA. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for Wednesday, November 10th, starting at 7:30 PM, and will be held virtually through Zoom, and it provides an opportunity for members to cast their votes to elect the new Board of Directors.
The league’s primary service area includes Crockett, Rodeo, Hercules, Pinole, El Sobrante, and parts of Richmond and San Pablo. FCA has joined a group of elite clubs competing in the EA Northwest Norcal Conference for the 2025/2026 season, and all U13–U19 Boys Blue (first) teams will compete in Elite Academy League (EA). Partners and sponsors listed for the league include Elite Academy League, NorCal Premier, Cal North, Soccer Post El Cerrito, The Coaching Manual, Veo, Oakland Roots, and Byga. The league uses SportsEngine’s Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software for its website.
