About
SquashDrive offers an integrated program that combines academic tutoring, daily after school academic support, homework help, interactive STEM workshops, squash instruction, and squash and fitness instruction. Students also take part in squash tournaments, week-long squash camp opportunities, community service and service projects, cultural outings, mentor outings, travel opportunities, and adventure trips. All students have a chance to compete in squash, and SquashDrive elite team members attain national rankings.
• Schedule: Students receive 115 hours of homework help each year, and all students receive a minimum of 100 hours per year of squash and fitness instruction.
SquashDrive’s mission is to enable East Bay students to reach their full academic, athletic, and personal potential. All students participate in interactive STEM workshops and are exposed to career options in the STEM field, all students maintain a 3.0 GPA or better, and 100% of students matriculate to the next grade each year. Last year, SquashDrive offered more tournaments and week-long squash camp opportunities than ever before, and last year it saw its first student break into the top 100 nationally. All students complete 10 hours of community service per year, 100% of high school students have a college based summer experience, and 100% of students receive individual mentoring from staff and volunteers. SquashDrive partners with UC Berkeley and members of the Bay Area business and volunteer communities.
