Camp Green Meadows Outdoor School combines science education with outdoor adventure for students. Approximately 3,300 fifth and sixth grade students attend the program every year, and all nine student cabin renovations have been completed.

Camp Green Meadows has been an outdoor education hub since it first began as Jack L. Boyd Outdoor School in 1964, and it has provided students with outdoor experiences for 60 years. All staff are employees of the Merced County Office of Education and are background checked, fingerprinted, and CPR trained. The Naturalist staff are all graduates of a four-year university, and some interns may be working toward a degree during their internship. Each school year at Camp Green Meadows starts with two weeks of staff training. The teaching staff state that they pride themselves on their professionalism and are dedicated to creating a positive and impacting experience for students at Camp Green Meadows. Camp Green Meadows continues to involve Central Valley 6th graders, and music videos are created at camp to showcase local arts and the camp facilities for the MCE Foundation fundraiser.
