Folsom Family Taekwondo Center

Folsom Family Taekwondo Center offers Tiny Tigers, Kids, Teens, Adults, and Jiu Jitsu classes. The Tiny Tigers program focuses on courtesy, respect, discipline, motor skills, attention, and following directions. The Kids classes teach Taekwondo techniques and character traits in an 8-week cycle, and the Jiu Jitsu program is offered as a stand-alone course or as an additional program for existing Taekwondo students.

Programs

• Tiny Tigers — 3-5 · Developed for preschool and school age children; focuses on courtesy, respect, discipline, motor skills, attention, and following directions.
• Kids — 6-12 · Structured but fun environment teaching Taekwondo techniques and character traits; core classes run in 8-week cycles.
• Teens — 13-17 · Classes for teens through adults; includes self defense, exercise, competition, or recreational purposes.
• Adults — 18 and up · Adult-focused Taekwondo classes emphasizing technique, self-defense, fitness, forms/poomsae, meditative aspects, and inner strength.
• Jiu Jitsu — 15 and up · Monday and Friday evenings, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. · Basic Jiu Jitsu/Grappling program offered as a stand alone course or as an additional program for existing Taekwondo students.

• General schedule: FTKD seminars are held on the 1st Saturday of each month at no additional cost for Black Belt Club, Jr. Leadership, and Trainee members. Seminars are 1 hour in duration.
• Facility hours: Monday/Wednesday 3:30 - 8:15 p.m.; Tuesday/Thursday 3:30 - 9:00 p.m.; Friday 3:30 - 7:00 p.m.; Saturday 10:00 - 12:30 p.m.; Sunday closed

About the provider

Folsom Family Taekwondo Center says it has provided professional martial arts training for over 44 years. Its leadership team includes Grand Master Jack Corrie, a 9th degree Black Belt, along with Master Frega, Master Beard, and Mrs. Gonzalez. The school is described as an award-winning Taekwondo school, a Kukkiwon Certified School, and Folsom's only Kukkiwon Licensed School, and it was voted Folsom's "Best Martial Arts" program in 2025 for the 10th year in a row.

Black Belt applications/essay packets due to MooDo; recommended Black Belts and Black Belts must track mid-term dates themselves; please arrive 15 minutes prior to testing time; rank is earned and not given; Black Belts are not examined at the school and must present to an independent regional or national Kukkiwon examination panel depending on rank.
