Folsom Theatre Co. Youth Musical Theatre includes musical theatre instruction, a Youth Community Choir, and a full production of Annie. Participants take part in dance auditions and cold reading as part of the audition and rehearsal process.

• Price: The production fee is $350 per individual. A second sibling will receive a $25 discount. Three or more subsequent siblings will receive a $50 discount. Each performer is required to purchase 10 cast vouchers at the discounted rate at the mandatory parent meeting, or 15 cast vouchers per family if there is more than one sibling in the cast. Each family is expected to complete at least 20 volunteer hours or pay a $200 volunteer fee at the mandatory parent meeting.

Folsom Theatre Co. is a new youth musical theatre company whose programs focus on character, confidence, integrity, and self-esteem through community theatre and performing arts. Each performer is required to provide their own shoes and socks or nylons. The leadership team includes Chief Executive Officer and Artistic & Managing Director Tracy Rodriguez, President Felipe Rodriguez, Assistant Director Leah Walters, Musical Directors Kelly Dunn and Emma Harlow, and Stage Manager Janice Odestig, with the Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer listed as TBA. Folsom Theatre Co.’s mission is to inspire youth to dream, explore, think, and connect through imaginative storytelling onstage, in the classroom, and in the community, while developing character and confidence by training in the arts. The Folsom Telegraph readers voted Folsom Theatre Co. BEST NEW BUSINESS in Folsom for 2018. The organization states that it fosters collaboration among professional artists, the community, and youth, and that it is a start-up non-profit organization dedicated to bringing performing arts to youth in the Folsom community, with a goal of becoming a premier home for diverse performing arts programming and education by collaborating with artists, organizations, schools, and the community.
