• Ages: 2.5–5 years old
Happy Trails Preschool offers preschool programs for ages 2.5 to 5 years old and enrichment programs for TK and K students. The program features small class sizes, smaller groups, and individualized attention in an in-home environment with experienced, nurturing teachers. New ideas and concepts are presented in multiple forms to engage all five senses, and phonemic awareness is taught kinesthetically and mnemonically.
The mission of Happy Trails Preschool is to take students on a journey through different countries and cultures to expand their horizons and increase their appreciation for the planet and its possibilities. Students are exposed to different cultures from around the world while developing foundational skills such as sharing and playing in a respectful manner, sitting and listening to teachers and other students, shifting focus to transition between activities, seeking assistance from others in an appropriate way, and becoming familiar with letters, numbers, shapes, and colors using Zoo-phonics and Handwriting Without Tears. Happy Trails Preschool prepares students for success in kindergarten and sets a strong foundation for a love of learning.
The leadership team includes Founder and Lead Teacher Sara Zahn, M.A., PPSC, and teachers Miyoko Earl and Chiharu Seki.
