Pacific Institute of Music was founded in 2009 in Folsom, California. Its mission states that it provides exceptional musical lessons and experiences serving the Greater Sacramento Area, using a proprietary curriculum tailored to the needs of individual students and an extraordinary faculty to help students discover their artistry and build a solid musical foundation for future success in life. The program notes a friendly, professional staff and a positive atmosphere, and shares news updates through its Facebook and Instagram pages.

PIOM’s Student Honor Society has become a 501(c)3 organization and is now called the PIOM Student Music Advocacy Group, which has organized a fundraising concert in support of the “Hungry for the” initiative (as listed in the source). PIOM students achieved placements in the 2026 CAPMT Go for the Gold Competition. PIOM student Isabel Feng won 1st Grand Prize at the 2021 Vancouver International Music Competition, and PIOM students Isabel Feng and Grace Feng won prizes, including first prize, at the 2021 San Jose International Piano Competition.
