Studio 24 opened in 2008 as a place for actors to develop their skills, acquire industry knowledge, receive career guidance, and get professional headshots and demo reels, and it is described as one of the largest TV and film acting studios in the country with locations in both Northern and Southern California. It services talent in the Los Angeles and San Francisco entertainment markets and has helped thousands of actors pursue acting professionally. Weekly acting classes are described as heavy in scene study and challenging yet supportive, and ongoing acting classes are by placement only. Workshops are described as fast paced, high energy courses that provide acting instruction and industry lecture, and no previous experience is needed to take Studio 24 workshops. Studio 24 offers headshot services and demo reel production for professional actors, and the Studio 24 team has over 40 years of combined industry experience. The studio is described as not a typical acting studio, and Cody describes the studio as the “Disneyland” for actors, stating there is a reason many Studio 24 talent are working actors.

The leadership team includes Cody Dorkin (Founder | Acting Coach), Wes Armstrong (Acting Coach), Cecelia Sandoval (Acting Coach), Kevin Hayer (Acting Coach), Charissa Buhagiar (Acting Coach), Katie Freeman (Resource Manager), Mary McCusker (Acting Coach), Brenda Yanez (Acting Coach), and Allie Dietz (Acting Coach). Cody has been a SAG/AFTRA member since 1994, has acquired over 100 TV and film credits working for every major studio and network in Los Angeles, has been an acting coach for over 15 years, and has accumulated over 13,000 teaching hours. Cecelia earned her BFA in acting from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy Los Angeles. Mary studied acting, dance, and musical theatre at the Boston Conservatory of Music, studied method acting with Sanford Meisner in his two-year program at the Neighborhood Playhouse, joined the improvisation company The Pitschel Players, and continued with the show for 2 years.

Studio 24 opened in 2008, and in January 2014, after 6 years at the midtown Sacramento location, they designed a custom acting studio. In February 2018, Studio 24 opened for business in Los Angeles, and in August 2020, Studio 24 rebranded with a new look and a brand new website. The studio is described as a 2,300 sq/ft studio featuring two edit bays, a voiceover recording booth, a creative room, a green room, and a sound stage where a multi-camera set is built out.
