Children take part in Master Workshops, field trips and workshops, special events, and weekly themes such as Magical Mixtures, Frontier Adventures, Beyond the Beach, Kids Coming Together, Soaring Into Starry Skies, Treasure Island, Across the Atlas, and Construction Junction. The program also offers language arts, music, art, drama, games, relaxation and quiet activities, and an outdoor motor skills program that includes cooperative, non-elimination games and activities that build gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Adventure Time Extended Day Care has been serving elementary school-aged children and their families in the Bay Area for over 38 years and has been California licensed for over 40 years. The program is fully licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services and exceeds the standards of the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing. It provides traditional and Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) before and after school child care and enrichment programs in partnership with school districts, including Fremont Unified School District for the ELOP program.
All staff members are over 18 years of age and are described as well trained, and the average teacher to child ratio is 1 to 10. Many of the head teachers and all of the administrative team have been with the organization for over thirty years, and the program describes its head teachers as experienced Adventure Time teachers. The program lists Director Mimi Albert as the director for questions about curriculum or the program.
The program states a mission that includes providing a nurturing and welcoming environment before and after school, offering academic enrichment, social development, creative activities, and fun, and creating a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free space where each child feels valued and supported. The mission also states that the program embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, and focuses on acceptance, encouragement, respect, and learning. One parent testimonial describes Adventure Time as “one of the best after school and summer programs” they have used, heard about, or seen, and mentions that they love the programs, teachers, director, and “everything about it.”
