Made Up Theatre Improv Classes offers improv classes where participants learn the art of improvisation from experienced, professional instructors. The program is connected to improv comedy shows that use nothing but audience suggestions, with no scripts, and offers both family friendly shows and adult-oriented shows on a rotating schedule. Made Up Theatre also offers online improv comedy shows every weekend that are live, interactive, and always a completely unique experience, along with team building, private events, video production, and corporate team building programs and workshops.

Made Up Theatre was established in 2011. Its stated mission is to provide improvisational theatre, education and classes, and entertainment to audiences from the San Francisco South Bay and East Bay areas, including Fremont, Union City, Milpitas, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Cupertino, Dublin, Pleasanton, and the Silicon Valley. The program has collaborated with groups such as Google, Yelp, Facebook, and Sony. It has been voted Best Comedy Theatre by Reader’s Choice and Best of Nightlife on Yelp. Improv classes are described as a way to improve public speaking skills, overcome shyness, meet new friends, and more, and the program states that it can customize workshops to fit specific needs, with no trust falls or overly long seminar talks and a belief in the power of play as a way to learn the fundamentals of improvisation.
