About
OC Musica offers music lessons and dance classes, including piano, voice, guitar, violin, cello, trumpet, ukulele, clarinet, saxophone, flute, brass, woodwind, and percussion lessons. The program also includes ballet, jazz, hip hop, orchestra participation, and a Spring Recital, along with many other performance events during the year.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Price: When combined with a weekly private 30-minute lesson, half hour of music theory per week results in 60 minutes of expert instruction for less than $40 per week.
OC Musica offers a free trial lesson, a one-time registration fee, and monthly tuition with no long-term contract and the ability to withdraw at any time with 14 days’ notice. The program includes a half hour of music theory per week at no extra cost, music and dance programs in one place, and a flexible and generous approach to lesson make-ups. Students can join a professionally coached orchestra at no extra cost and have many chances to perform, including six recitals per year and two annual recitals at a big theater. Discounts on tuition are available for family members, with a 10% discount applied to the lowest priced tuition fee for additional family members.
Dance classes in ballet and jazz are managed by Garden Dance Centre, and Huntington Beach School of Music is listed alongside OC Musica in contact information. Since July 2025, Garden Dance Centre has managed the ballet and jazz dance classes. The leadership team includes Cuong Nguyen, Owner, Piano, and Amecie Lublin, Dance Director. OC Musica’s owners appeared on CBS2, “This is LA” EP 319.
One parent reports bringing two daughters for piano lessons since August 2022, starting at ages 4 and 6 with no prior piano experience, and describes Cuong Nguyen as patient and attentive during lessons. An adult student notes that booking and paying for lessons is simple and mentions a dance studio and several practice rooms, each with a piano and lectern. A dance teacher describes OC Musica as a beautiful space created by Cuong and Mai and notes their support of the community. A professor of dance at the University of California, Irvine, calls OC Musica a new center for the performing arts in Orange County and comments on the atmosphere and understanding of music and dance education.
