A.C. Green Youth Foundation Leadership Program

The A.C. Green Youth Foundation Leadership Program offers leadership camps, an abstinence and character curriculum, and mentoring. The Foundation states that the program includes career exploration field trips, athletic skills, character development, and basketball and leadership skills.

• General schedule: Every year the Foundation sponsors approximately 300 boys and girls ages 9-16 to attend an all-expenses-paid summer Leadership Program. Programs are held in Oregon, California, and Arizona. The Gardena, California program runs July 6-10, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

About the provider

The Foundation was established in 1989, and A.C. Green personally supervises each program. Its mission is to serve youth and the communities in which they live by providing information about sexual abstinence and social issues that concern young people and educating them to make responsible choices for their future. The Foundation states that it develops the potential of children who might otherwise be forgotten and identifies and encourages leaders among children who lack positive role models, are physically and/or emotionally abused, economically disadvantaged, or victims of homelessness.

The goal of the Leadership Program is to identify and encourage leaders among children who might otherwise be forgotten. Program objectives include exposing children to a camp environment, leadership figures and positive role models, career exploration field trips, athletic skills and character development, and discouraging behavior which may continue the cycle of abuse, poverty, or homelessness.
