About
After School Program, Youth Day Camp & Teen Camp includes character development, recreational activities, homework assistance, arts & crafts, educational work, sports, life skills lessons, community service opportunities, excursions, on-site entertainment, and other activities. The After School Program includes one snack per day. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter Day Camps include two snacks per day.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: After School Program runs from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.; Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter Day Camps run Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (excluding holidays)
Teen Camp is described as a non-licensed, recreational program. Teen Camp includes excursions to local and out of city sites and includes community service opportunities. The Teen Camp mission states that its goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where teenagers can learn, grow, have fun, explore their interests, develop new skills, make lasting friendships, and become responsible and compassionate leaders who make a positive impact on the world. Registration is required and can be completed online at www.cityofgardena.org/events or at the Recreation Division Office.
