Half Moon Bay Soccer Club offers competitive soccer, with teams playing leagues and tournaments in both the Spring and Fall seasons. Players take part in competitive soccer through Spring season leagues and tournaments and Fall season leagues and tournaments, with off-season programs available to continue development. Teams compete in District 2 CalNorth and NorCal Premier Region 2 playing leagues and tournaments, and some teams compete at the State Cup and President’s Cup levels.
• Ages: 8–16 years old
• Schedule: Teams play a Spring season from March to early June and a Fall season from August to early December, with practices typically held twice per week for 90 minutes.
Founded in 1994, the non-profit Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside relies on the support of individual donors, foundations, and volunteers. The Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside has a trained professional staff and is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Half Moon Bay Soccer Club is a competitive soccer club serving players and families from Montara to Pescadero, and the intent of the program is to identify and develop the best youth soccer players in the community. The club considers players’ physical and cognitive skills and attitude for the program and is dedicated to developing soccer skills in an atmosphere of integrity, fairness, and impartiality. The Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside states that it nurtures young people’s self-esteem by instilling a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence, with daily activities and programs that are age appropriate and well-rounded across character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports, fitness, and recreation.
