Coastal Rep Kids' Theatre (CRKT) & Year-Round Theatre Education Programs include live theatre productions, a student performing arts program, and theatre education programs. Coastal Rep Kids' Theatre (CRKT) is part of a comprehensive, year-round theatre education program for K–12 students of every ability, with approximately 85 students enrolled per session in spring, summer, and fall. Over 2,400 students have participated in this program, which is described as a home for emerging talent and a family of artists from around the Bay Area. Coastal Repertory Theatre presents Broadway-style live theatre productions with five main stage performances plus CRKT productions and summer camps in 2026, and each season is described as thoughtfully curated with something for everyone.
Coastal Rep states that it is theater for the community by the community, with a mission of enriching the community through the power and diversity of the arts and empowering the hearts and minds of youth with appreciation for the arts, confidence, and a sense of well-being. The organization describes itself as a vibrant, year-round, women-led theatre education program for K–12 students of every ability, and notes that no student is turned away because of inability to pay. Coastal Repertory Theatre is undertaking a “Gussy It Up!” campaign to improve theatre spaces, including updates to the lobby and Theatre 2 with brand-new carpets and wood floors, adding rehearsal mirrors to the walls, bringing in fans for the dressing rooms, and adding new lobby chairs for theatergoers. The theatre is described as a 158-seat theatre.
