Kings Dance Center

Kings Dance Center offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Mommy N Me, Tots, and Creative Dance, as well as Summer Dance Camps. The program uses a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in a building that opened in July 2020.

Kings Dance Center was founded in 1985 and is led by owner and director Stacie Souza. The program notes that families are invited to “Come Dance With Us for our 41st Year!” The stated mission is that the passionate and dedicated staff is committed to fostering a love for dance while providing a safe and welcoming space for dancers to grow and thrive. Kings Dance Center has been voted Best Studio in Kings County.

Kings Dance Center features the Dancer’s Unlimited Competition Team and uses a Jackrabbit Portal for account login. Families have described the studio as providing excellent instruction in a positive, friendly, family-oriented environment where teachers care about students like their own children, and have shared that their children have gained life skills such as organization, teamwork, timeliness, leadership, creativity, and public speaking. One parent reports that the owner, Stacie Souza, has supported students in activities such as modelling, competitive dance, involvement in local Nutcracker productions, participation in the Princess Program, and participation in the Miss America Organization through the Miss Kings County Pageant. According to parent and student testimonials, dancers from Kings Dance Center have performed onstage in Las Vegas with Todrick Hall and Ava Max and in a music video with Now United, and some students describe the studio as a home away from home.
