About

Camp Trinity at the Bar 717 Ranch offers a free-choice, tech-free summer camp program where campers select their own daily activities. The program takes place on a 450-acre ranch within a wilderness setting and is described as a true outdoor experience in a thoroughly beautiful setting. Getting to the Ranch is described as an adventure all its own.

• Ages: 7–16 years old

Since 1930, Camp Trinity has welcomed kids ages 7 to 16 to 450 acres of wilderness for summers of learning and adventure. For generations, Camp Trinity has built its summer camp philosophy of cooperation, resourcefulness, and respect for the land, and its free-choice, tech-free program empowers campers to connect deeply with nature, build confidence, and form lifelong friendships. Camp Trinity is described as California’s oldest accredited co-ed summer camp, and the Bar 717 Ranch is family-owned and operated.

Parents and campers describe Camp Trinity as a place where campers return happy, healthy, and full of confidence, and as a “childhood escape” that creates lifelong friends. Multiple parents note that their children’s time at the Bar 717 Ranch has become one of their favorite childhood memories and that their kids derive immense joy from their summers there, along with an increased sense of confidence, independence, and empathy. Campers mention making friends from all over the world, and one parent describes summer at Camp Trinity as “slow and easy, fun and silly,” with staff who deeply respect and honor each camper’s individuality, creativity, and ideas. Another parent describes camp as their kids’ “happy place” over almost ten years, with chances to try new things and test their limits in a supportive environment and in a thoroughly beautiful outdoor setting.
