About
Summer Athletics Camps offers basketball, volleyball, and cross country sessions that focus on specific sports skills. Campers take part in skill developmental drills, shooting technique work, footwork practice, fun activities, and training in fundamentals and advanced skills in cross country running.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: Four-day basketball, volleyball, and cross country sessions offered in June and July, with day and evening options
Frank Knight Basketball Camp Session I runs June 15–18 from 9:00 am–3:00 pm, and Session II runs June 22–25 from 9:00 am–3:00 pm. The Nike Volleyball Camp All Skills Day Camp runs July 13–16 from 9:00 am–3:00 pm, with check-in at 8:30 am on Day 1, and the Intermediate/Advanced Evening Camp runs July 13–16 from 4:00 pm–7:00 pm. The Nike Cross Country Camp runs July 13–16 from 9:00 am–2:00 pm, with check-in from 8:30–9:00 am and check-out from 1:30–2:00 pm. For Frank Knight Basketball Camp and the Nike Volleyball All Skills Day Camp, lunch is not provided and campers bring their own lunch, and for the Intermediate/Advanced Evening Volleyball Camp, meals are not provided and campers eat before or after camp. For the Nike Cross Country Camp, lunch is not provided and campers bring a packed lunch and healthy snacks. Each camper receives a complimentary Nike Sports Camp t-shirt.
Frank Knight Basketball Camp is led by Head Coach Frank Knight, who is described as one of the top high school coaches in California. The Nike Volleyball Camp is led by Head Volleyball Coach Jerico Abanico, along with coaches and athletes from the Bay Area and beyond. The All Skills Day Camp offers high-energy training focused on fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship and is recommended for all positions and abilities. The Intermediate/Advanced Evening Camp is for athletes who know the basics and want to build on their skills across all areas of the game and is recommended for high school and club-level players with 1+ year of competitive experience. The Nike Cross Country Camp is open to runners of all ability levels, ages 10–17.
Moreau Catholic High School, which runs Summer Athletics Camps, is a college-preparatory school with a 13:1 teacher-student ratio and offers 22 Honors and 24 Advanced Placement courses, as well as over 50 teams in 22 different sports. The school emphasizes four major themes: Building Respect, Educating Hearts and Minds, Being Family, and Bringing Hope. The program leadership includes Patrick Landeza, Director of Auxiliary Programming and Community Outreach and Director of Summer Programming. Moreau Catholic High School states that it is dedicated to the legacy and values of the Congregation of Holy Cross and its founder Blessed Basil Moreau and is a college-preparatory school committed to outstanding achievement, and as a community of faith it prepares students through academic, social, and spiritual learning experiences that form and transform them as they become responsible citizens of the global community.
