About
Planet Kids Christian Preschool includes weekly Chapel services, daily Bible time in the classrooms, and the teaching of familiar Bible stories. Children take part in high-quality, age-appropriate learning activities, including group learning activities, and work on reading readiness and school readiness skills. The program also includes teaching of the alphabet with letter recognition and sounds, as well as numbers, shapes, colors, and directional words, and runs year-round with special summer activities.

• Schedule: Year-round program with center hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, including extended hours for working parents from 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Price: Children can either bring their own lunch from home or may order hot lunches for an additional charge.
Planet Kids Christian Preschool is a ministry of The House Modesto and uses a communication application so teachers can share daily classroom activities, monthly events, and pictures throughout the week. Monthly events are communicated through the app, and parents receive information and pictures about how the child’s day has been. All classes follow a daily class schedule to keep consistency and maintain structure, and are taught at a developmentally appropriate level with a Bible curriculum that focuses on biblical themes and an academic curriculum that teaches multiple school readiness skills. The program serves a healthier snack that includes more fruit, protein, and fibers in the morning and afternoon, and lunches brought from home are not refrigerated or warmed up.
The stated mission of Planet Kids Christian Preschool is based on Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Planet Kids Christian Preschool is led by Director Connie Galvan and Assistant Director Brianna Longstreth. The teachers are Christians who demonstrate a calling by God to teach, and their academic training, experience, and spiritual maturity are described as making them effective teachers with a passion for Christian education and a desire to invest in each child’s future and in the Kingdom of God.
