Summer Spikers Camps is part of Beach Elite, a not for profit 501c3 organization founded in 2014. Beach Elite reports that over 12,000 youth athletes have participated in its programs, with over 200 scholarships provided for youth athletes to play competitive club volleyball and over 120 college scholarships awarded to Beach Elite athletes. The organization notes an excellent rating on Google and Yelp and states it has provided over 400 jobs to local communities.

The program is led by a team that includes Rick Reeve (Director/Founder), Lucas Castillo (Director / Head Coach - Boys 16s Elite, Girls 18s Elite; Boys Director - Northern Utah), Joey Eggers (Director / Head Coach - Southern California), and Mickael Massaki (Head Beach Coach Southern California), along with Emily (Club Operations Coordinator - All Regions) and Carey (Program Director - Southern California). Beach Elite lists its mission as “Making better kids first. Making better players second.”

Summer Spikers Camps states that players are separated with about a coach ratio of 10:1. All campers receive an official Beach Elite shirt, and visors, backpacks, Sand Socks, and socks for 2026 are given out for free while supplies last. Sometimes sunscreen SPF 50 is provided and kids are encouraged to apply it often, and a water jug is available so campers can refill their water. Families are asked to send a water bottle, snacks, and lunch for all-day players.

The program notes that camps are subject to cancellation if there are not enough campers registered, and in that case the camp will be refunded. Other than a class canceling, there are no refunds for Summer camp. One week change is allowed free of charge, with a $50 fee for any other changes. Parents can add more time each week or add multiple weeks of camp by text, and additional weeks are 10% off.

Beach Elite reports that it has completed over 40 service projects in local communities, including building hike trails, painting fences, cooking and serving Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless, and organizing Toy Drives, with quarterly service projects for its athletes. The organization has been the recipient of the 2025 Who’s Who and was voted 2022 best volleyball camp by ParentingOC in California.
