Youth Services Programs includes the Explorer Program for ages 14 to 17, the Police Activities League (P.A.L.), the Teen Police Academy, and the D.A.R.E. program. Accepted Explorer Program participants undergo a five-day academy conducted by the Orange County Explorer Academy.

About the provider
The Youth Services Division coordinates and implements various youth programs for the youth in the community. The Volunteer Program is for ages 18 and older, and volunteers must be free of any criminal convictions and volunteer a minimum of eight hours per month. The Cadet Program is for people 18 years of age at the time of hire and is a non-sworn, non-peace officer, uniformed position assigned as a part-time civilian employee in the Police Department.
