Merage JCC Children’s Programs & Camp Haverim includes activities in sports, arts, outdoor adventure, and aquatics. Camp Haverim offers summer fun and friendships through these sports, arts, outdoor adventure, and aquatics activities, where campers build lifelong friendships, independence, and self-esteem. Programs and services at the Merage JCC celebrate family, foster health and well-being, embrace tradition, create friendships, and expand cultural horizons in a safe, positive, friendly, and inviting environment.
The Merage JCC Children’s Programs & Camp Haverim are part of a broader center whose mission is to build a welcoming Jewish community by inspiring and enriching Jewish identity. The Merage Jewish Community Center is located on the Samueli Jewish Campus in Irvine and is dedicated to keeping the community active and connected with on-site experiences and on-demand programs, with a vision of ensuring Jewish continuity in Orange County. The Merage JCC offers a friendly and comfortable environment and reserves the right to remove individuals acting inappropriately and cancel their membership. The leadership team connected to children’s programs and camp includes Audra Martin, BS, as Children’s Program & Camp Haverim Director; Marianne Russo-Barth as Assistant Children and Camp Director; Estella Calito as Camp and Children's Department Assistant Director; Ulises Merida as Club 54 and LIT Coordinator; and Hilary D, MIB, as Children's Department & Camp Haverim Office Manager. Additional leadership at the center includes Chief Strategy and Learning Officer Julie Holdaway, MBA; Chief Marketing and Program Officer Char Williams-Cavitt, MBA, MA; Chief Financial Officer Lee Tringali, MBA; Chief Operating Officer & Sunrise OC Director Zach Guller; and other directors and associates in membership, early childhood, athletics, aquatics, fitness, creative supervision, and graphic design. Staff credentials at the center include team members holding degrees such as MBA, MA, BS, MIB, MS, BA, and BFA.
