Neverland Child Care Center states that it is not a daycare or a preschool, but combines preschool-like programs with the flexibility of a daycare. The program uses a play-based approach with an Emergent Curriculum and takes a whole-child approach. The center offers flexible childcare through a drop-in program, which requires a minimum of 3 hours, a call 2 hours in advance for availability, and completed enrollment paperwork with immunizations turned in beforehand.

The mission of Neverland Child Care Center is to provide quality childcare in a safe, nurturing educational environment that meets the needs of every child and family served. The mission also includes providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in a play-based learning environment, assisting children in developing independence, creativity, empathy, problem-solving skills, and self-regulation in fun and engaging ways that stimulate social and cognitive growth, and supporting family life while partnering with families.

Neverland's teaching staff are experienced professionals with comprehensive training in Early Childhood Education. Every member of the teaching staff has undergone fingerprinting, holds current CPR certification, and is educated in child development and participates in in-service training. Staff must be able to pass a background check and get CPR-certified, and child development or Early Childhood Education units must be in Child Development, Child, Family, and Community, and Curriculum. Each teacher is a mandated reporter, legally obligated to promptly report any known or reasonably suspected instances of child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities. The leadership team includes Ms. Chelsea (Director and Preschool Teacher), Ms. Maryhelen (Toddler Teacher), Ms. Kory (Preschool Teacher), and Ms. Chloe, who serves as both Toddler Teacher and lunch lady.

Neverland Child Care Center has been participating in the San Bernardino Quality Start program since 2022 and is part of the Building Early Education Strategies (BEES) program through the Child Care Resource Center. The center has a quality-star coach who works with teachers and the program to improve quality and collaborates with a trained mental health consultant to train staff and address the social and emotional needs of students. Neverland Child Care Center holds license number 364843539.

Neverland Child Care Center is open to everyone in the Morongo Basin and states that it is committed to supporting the community, including through its flexible drop-in program. The center accepts credit cards and payments from Stage 1 and the Child Care Resource Center subsidized programs and offers a 10% discount to Military and Copper Mountain College students. To join the waitlist, families can click the “Register” button in the top-left corner of the center’s website; when a spot becomes available, the center sends an email with a link to schedule a tour and start enrollment, and all tours are by appointment only.
