Neverland Child Care Center is an Early Learning Center open to everyone in the Morongo Basin and is not a daycare or a preschool, offering preschool-like programs with the flexibility of a daycare. The program uses a play-based approach with an Emergent Curriculum and a whole-child approach. It offers a drop-in program with flexible childcare, with a minimum of 3 hours required, and families are asked to call 2 hours in advance for availability; all enrollment paperwork with immunizations must be turned in beforehand. The center offers potty training and participates in trauma-informed care training.

The staff at Neverland Child Care Center are experienced professionals with comprehensive training in Early Childhood Education. Every member of the teaching staff has undergone fingerprinting, holds current CPR certification, is educated in child development, participates in in-service training, and is a mandated reporter. Teachers actively participate in regular staff meetings and continuous professional development that focuses on de-escalation techniques and social-emotional learning. The leadership team includes Ms. Chelsea (Director and Preschool Teacher), Ms. Maryhelen (Toddler Teacher), Ms. Kory (Preschool Teacher), and Ms. Chloe, who serves as both Toddler Teacher and lunch lady.

Neverland Child Care Center’s mission is to provide quality childcare in a safe, nurturing educational environment that meets the needs of every child and family it serves. The center has been participating in the San Bernardino Quality Start program since 2022 and has a Quality Start coach who works with teachers and the program to improve quality. It also participates in the Quality Start San Bernardino County (QSSB) program and is part of the Building Early Education Strategies (BEES) program through the Child Care Resource Center. The center collaborates with a trained mental health consultant to train staff and address students’ social and emotional needs and is committed to supporting the Morongo Basin community, including through its drop-in program.

Neverland Child Care Center accepts credit cards and payments from Stage 1 and the Child Care Resource Center subsidized programs. The program offers a 10% discount to Military and Copper Mountain College students. All tours are by appointment only.
