Camp Whitsett is a Scout Camp owned by the Scouting America Western Los Angeles County Council. It serves nearly 2,500 scouts every summer and houses a nationally accredited high adventure base. Founded in 1947, Camp Whitsett continues to operate in partnership with the United States Forest Service in the Giant Sequoia National Monument.
