About

King City Golf Course Youth Programs take place at King City Golf Course and include youth programs that involve golf rounds, memberships, instruction, and tournaments. The programs use the same facilities that are available for public play, including access to a club house and golf shop.

King City Golf Course was designed by Robert E Baldock and was first established in 1953 as a 9-hole public golf course with a club house and golf shop. The City of King contracts with First Tee of Monterey County to operate the golf course and provide youth programming. The King City Recreation Department oversees the program, with Andrea Wasson serving as Recreation Coordinator. The King City Recreation Department states that it offers a variety of recreational programs on a year-round basis in the interest of improving the health and well-being of community members. The department also partners with groups such as King City Little League, King City Adult Softball, South Monterey County Youth Soccer, Salinas Valley Fair, King City Youth Football and Cheer, King City Swim Club, and King City High School Athletic Department to promote recreational activities in King City.
