• Ages: 4–18 years old

The Summer Arts program has day camps for ages 5–7 and both day and sleepaway options for ages 7–16, with each week-long program ending in a showcase that includes both collaborative and individual creations that campers take home on the final day. The Teen Academies program is a two-week interdisciplinary arts intensive for ages 14–18 that combines arts education and mentorship from experienced professional artists with a sleepaway camp experience. Dance Summer Dance is a two-week dance-focused program for ages 11–18 where dancers receive intensive instruction along with a sleepaway camp experience.

Youth Leadership is a free program for ages 14–18 that focuses on leadership and collaboration skills. Counsellors in Training (CiTs) and Junior Counsellors who participate during the Summer Arts program are able to take part in the Teen Academies or Dance Summer Dance for free as part of their participation.

The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts runs Ross Creek Camps as part of its work as a research and development centre for the arts of all disciplines and cultures and to help facilitate the development of new art from around the world. The organization states a mission of giving voice through the arts and bringing together arts education for youth with community and professional artist programs. The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts and Two Planks and a Passion Theatre operate under the CoastArts Association, a registered charity.

Ross Creek Camps are connected to the Ross Creek Annex, which includes a kitchen and garden program, a light-filled space with lighting, sound and a projector, and a multipurpose space with a recording studio and maker equipment. The Ross Creek Annex is intended to add to what is done at Ross Creek Camps and to provide ways for the community to engage in life-long creative learning and connection.

The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts notes gratitude for being in Sipekne’katik, one of the seven regions of Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the L’nu (Mi’kmaq), and recognizes its role in reconciliation. The organization is a non profit association that relies on donations, earned revenue, and public investment, and it invites volunteers and community input to help develop programming at the Ross Creek Annex. The Ross Creek Annex hosts regular activities by the Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, Music in Communities, and other programming partners, and is a rentable space for community groups and events.
