Jr Hoops

Jr Hoops offers the Jr Hoops League and Summer Camps. The league includes team practices and one game each week, and the summer camps are four-day skill camps.

About the provider

Jr Hoops was founded in 2023, and the site says it has completed 10 full seasons since its inaugural Spring 2024 season. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit powered by LA Select, and its mission is to promote personal development through basketball while fostering a supportive environment that instills a lifelong love for the game. Games are officiated by certified high-school and college-level referees, and coaches are background-checked and internally trained.

All skill levels welcome. Evaluation is used for fair, balanced placement; it is not a tryout. Parents may request to play up a division, subject to staff review. No benchwarmers, no kid left behind. One game per week and two practices per week are stated for the league overall, though Youngsters has 1 practice per week. Practices are separate from Saturday games.
