LA Musica Therapy offers individual music therapy sessions, group-based music therapy programs, and both adaptive and traditional music lessons. The program includes music therapy for early childhood development, social skills and communication development through music, music therapy for seniors, and general music lessons. Services are available for both neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals, and every session is tailored to the unique needs, abilities, and goals of each client.

LA Musica Therapy’s mission is to promote wellness, enhance quality of life, and foster personal growth through safe, evidence-based, and enjoyable clinical music therapy interventions and adaptive music lessons. The program provides high-quality individualized and group-based music therapy services, as well as music education and developmental programs, serving clients from early childhood through older adulthood. Services include evidence-based, clinically informed music therapy that addresses emotional and developmental well-being, cognitive and physical functioning, social skills, and overall quality of life. LA Musica Therapy is an approved Regional Center Service Provider, and services are conducted in strict alignment with The Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) Code of Professional Practice, Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
The team includes Board-Certified Music Therapists (MT-BC). Founder and Executive Director Ricardo Hurtado is a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), a graduate of the University of Georgia, with advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy through the Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy. Managing Director Ricardo Hurtado Jr., Program Development Coordinator Deidre Racoma, and Administrative Assistants Sabrina Zohrabian, Lance Lim, and Lina Avadessians support program operations. Supervisor Nicole Albinski-Euler, MT-BC, is a Board-Certified Music Therapist who studied at California State University, Northridge and completed her internship at Professional Child Development Associated (PCDA) in Pasadena, CA. Music Therapist Akilah Watts, MM, MT-BC, is Board Certified and holds a Masters of Music, Music Therapy degree from Illinois State University.
LA Musica Therapy also offers the Cyberstra Method (formerly Cyber Orchestra Method), a virtual music education program for mainstream classrooms that teaches fundamental music education concepts and standards and creates an inclusive keyboard-orchestra ensemble experience adapted to the needs of learners, including those with special requirements. The program states that “Hablamos Español.”
