Whittier VBC is a girls youth volleyball club that offers indoor clinics, volleyball teams, practices, tournaments, and a Summer Sand Tournament. The program includes clinics for beginners and intermediate players and runs volleyball activities throughout the calendar year.
• Ages: 9–17 years old
• Schedule: High school aged teams (15 and over) form in July, younger divisions (14 and under) gather in September, and the season typically runs from November through June.
• Price: Pricing for the teams is determined on the amount of practices and tournaments which is set prior to the beginning of the season.
Whittier VBC states that it was started from the belief that kids come first and to offer an economical solution for local kids to develop their volleyball and life skills in a non-toxic, safe family environment. The club describes itself as a family orientated and close knit group where everyone plays, and notes that it takes into account family dynamics as much as player ability on and off the court. The program states that money is not its bottom line, that it is not in this for the money, and that it is all inclusive and will not add on fees for uniforms and other necessary gear or spring added fees into costs.
The club offers year-round coaching for kids wanting to play for their school and/or club teams in Southern California, including opportunities for home schooled athletes.
