The program offers a Coaching Corner with practical tips, instructional videos, and community highlights. Its mission is to grow an active and supportive community of tennis and pickleball players and to empower them to succeed on and off the court by instilling good values, teaching life skills, and modeling a positive growth-oriented mindset.
TPB Hero is the official tennis and pickleball instruction program at La Mirada Regional Park and serves students from communities across the LA-OC corridor including Norwalk, Whittier, Cerritos, Buena Park, Fullerton, and Anaheim. Students compete in USTA Junior Team Tennis leagues and take part in Social Saturday events and special events like Dinks for DINK WADS. One testimonial notes that, after instruction with the program, a player named Brian N. has won three 4.0 tournaments, including two singles tournaments and one doubles tournament, and is aiming to do well at a 4.5 tournament.
