Gold Arrow Camp offers activities that include wake boarding, horseback riding, and rock climbing. Campers live in rustic conditions and take part in these activities as part of a traditional summer camp experience.

Gold Arrow Camp has been a summer home to thousands of children since 1933. Its stated mission is “Preparing Young People for Life's Challenges.” The camp directors have a combined 136 years of experience. According to the camp, 100% of campers report making at least one new friend, 95 five-year blankets were awarded last summer, and 57% of staff members were former Gold Arrow Camp campers. Staffed charter buses transport campers to and from camp with stops in Northern and Southern California, and campers also fly to and from Fresno Yosemite Airport. Parents can also drive campers either to or from Gold Arrow Camp, and pick up at the end of the camp session is in the morning, with parents generally staying in the area the evening before at recommended accommodations. Gold Arrow Camp operates under a Special Use Permit from the USDA Forest Service on the Sierra National Forest in California. The camp has received an award connected to the “Every Kid Outdoors Vision.” Gold Arrow Camp states that it is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, and is in the process of improving the site to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
