Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a five-day summer program where children take part in music, games, and crafts. Past themes have included exploring a medieval castle, going sailing, exploring caves, climbing Mt. Everest, making friends with pandas and many exotic (and non-threatening) creatures, and traveling to space without leaving church property. The program welcomes participants who are currently in TK through 5th grade and are at least 5 years old by April 1st, and it also involves middle school and high school students as youth staff, with college-age students and adults needed as well.

• Price: FEE: $85.00 per child (Includes: VBS music video streaming card, T-shirt, snacks, crafts, and FUN!!)

Vacation Bible School is part of the Catholic Community of Livermore and the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Community. The leadership team includes Carmela (Faith Formation Office Coordinator), Debi (K-5 First Eucharist and VBS Coordinator), Fr. Augustine Joseph (Pastor), Amanda (Preschool, K-5, and Middle School Coordinator), Angela (Music Director), Pauline (Faith Formation Assistant), Holly (Office Manager & Business/Facilities Coordinator), Jim (A/V Support Technician), Katie (Youth Confirmation Coordinator), and Shannon (Liturgical and Baptism Coordinator). The mission statement for the program’s parish community is: “At St. Charles Borromeo, we learn about Jesus, worship and praise Jesus in liturgy, and live in service to Jesus by serving others.” Financial aid or scholarship is available in cases of financial hardship, and all such cases are handled in a discreet and confidential manner. An additional registration PDF form can be submitted via email, in person at the Faith Formation office, or by mail, and a confirmation email is sent after the initial registration form with additional forms to complete the process.
