Delta Youth Football League was founded in 1971. The league’s mission states that it is a physical fitness program in an atmosphere focused on the development of mind and character, with adults teaching that hard work develops respect for discipline and emphasizing good school grades, self-discipline, respect for the rights of others, and respect for the law. The mission also states that competent coaching, adequate equipment and medical precautions are combined to establish a youth football program, and that all affiliated adults, conferences, franchises, divisions, associations, sponsors, and booster clubs must embrace the Delta tenets and philosophy. Delta Youth Football League, Inc. is a California Corporation whose Bylaws were adopted on January 1, 1985 and revised on March 6, 2000. The organization notes that 2026 will mark 55 years of high level competitive football and cheer.
The leadership team includes Commissioner Shana Trias, Vice President Erin Perez, Secretary Deborah Hoskins, Treasurer Eric Phillips, Cheer Coordinator Jessica Crone, Member at Large Ray Huey, Referee Liaison Doug Martin, League Operations Officer Chelsea Espinoza, Franchise President Elizabeth Diaz, Franchise President Charles Aldrich, and Franchise President Jason Maxwell.
