Next Level Athletics offers sports programs that include Flag Football, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, and Indoor Soccer. The program includes Next Level Fridays, Next Level Summer, NL Elites, and the Jump Start Jog event as part of its offerings.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Next Level Fridays meets after school on Fridays from 1:00–2:30 in 4-week sessions, and Next Level Summer runs in one-week sessions
Next Level Athletics began by aiming to combine Christian-based values with sports and was created after seeing that many sports camps focused on fundamentals but did not focus on building character from within. The stated goal is to teach future athletes how to have integrity and carry themselves with honor both in and out of the game.
Jump Start Jog is a one-day event where families bring their students to the Loma Linda Academy campus for a morning of activity and enjoyment. Jump Start Jog includes a fun distance for K/1 students and a 1-mile loop on campus for older participants, and it is open to all elementary students with families encouraged to come and cheer. Next Level Fridays is described as a chance for students to further develop and compete in the sports they enjoy. Next Level Summer is described as a way for kids to stay active and engaged while school is out while developing their skills in the sports they enjoy, and it offers sport programs for students ages 6–13. NL Elites is presented as the next step for children seeking a higher level of coaching, training, and competition to prepare for Junior High Athletics, and it is currently offering programs in Volleyball with plans to expand as soon as the 24/25 school year.
Parents have shared that they were pleased with how volleyball went and thanked the program for what they called an excellent program, and another parent stated that their kids were loving their sports camp experience.
