The Physics Show includes a live science show and a tour of the campus. The program brings Title One schools to The Physics Show and provides activities for kids and their families.
• Schedule: Next school year (2026-27), there will be shows with new topics in September, December, and January.
• Price: We provide bus transportation, The Physics Show, a tour of our campus, and a T-shirt, all at no cost to the school.
The Physics Show is run by the Physics Department at Foothill College. The leadership team includes Frank Cascarano and David Marasco. In the first year, 2007, about 200 people saw the show, and now over 4,500 students and over 25,000 people attend annually. The Physics Department at Foothill College puts on weekend shows for the community and weekday shows for local Title One schools. Frank Cascarano earned a bachelor's degree in physics at UC Davis and a master's degree in physics at UC San Diego, has taught at Foothill College since 2003, and previously worked for ten years as a Process Engineer and Manager in the semiconductor industry. David Marasco earned undergraduate degrees in physics and philosophy at UC San Diego and did his graduate work at Northwestern University, and he was named a Fellow of AAPT in 2021.
