The Physics Show is a fun science show for kids and their families. The program includes The Physics Show itself and a tour of the campus. A Physics Show video is available that focuses on infrared light, starting with the “light the match” experiment and going deeper into IR light.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Next school year (2026–27) there will be shows with new topics in September, December, and January.
• Price: We provide bus transportation, The Physics Show, a tour of our campus, and a T-shirt. All at no cost to the school.
In the first year, 2007, about 200 people saw The Physics Show. Over 20,000 people now attend annually, and annually over 4,500 students attend. The Physics Department at Foothill College enjoys putting on the show each year for the community. In addition to weekend shows, the program offers weekday shows for local Title One schools.
