Aikido Kenkyukai International USA is dedicated to enriching people’s lives through the practice of Aikido, The Art of Peace. The program offers traditional martial arts training for modern practitioners and includes Kenshusei and Deshi immersive programs. Class sizes for the 4-Week Martial Arts Intro Course are limited to 15 people, and classes are available for kids, teens, and adults at beginner through advanced levels. Instructors are described as qualified and experienced, and the leadership includes Lia Suzuki, referred to as Lia Sensei and Suzuki Sensei. The AKI USA 30th Anniversary & Summer Camp is scheduled for July 15–19, 2026.

Parents and adult students have shared detailed feedback about their experiences. One filmmaker, Ellis Bahl, reports training in exercise and self-defense and also mentions emotional strength, mental clarity, spiritual growth, confidence, and communication, which they refer to as “verbal aikido.” Another filmmaker, Chris Coats, describes Lia Sensei’s teaching as having a profound impact on their life and character and notes that classes feel intense, dynamic, and like a sacred practice. Entrepreneur Marc Falzon states that Suzuki Sensei embodies many principles of Aikido, comes from a direct lineage of Aikidoka, and is very skilled and deeply cares about the art. A paralegal named Karin describes leaving classes feeling exhilarated, challenged, and full of joy, and notes that they often leave class physically exhausted yet mentally energized, while also describing the dojo community as welcoming, kind, and helpful to new students, including those with physical limitations.
