Children Striving Together

Children Striving Together offers peer mentorship, virtual tutoring, tutoring and homework assistance, enrichment activities, health and wellness activities, mentoring, and annual events. The enrichment activities include arts and crafts, teen book clubs, and field trips. The health and wellness activities include sports and interactive events.

About the provider

Children Striving Together was established in March 2013. Its mission is to empower youth in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino Counties through fun, engaging, and impactful programs, provide safe spaces for growth, learning, and leadership development, and shape tomorrow's leaders by offering guidance, support, and opportunities for success. The leadership team includes Christi McDaniel, Founder & CEO; Samia Sami, Grant Writer; Maia Corsame, Grant Writer; Domonique Jackson, President; Brianna Davis, Secretary; Matt Kappadakunnel, Board Member; Tiesha Utai, Board Member; Brooke Richmond, Mental Health Coordinator; Precious Okeke, Finance Coordinator; and Hritu Barua, Volunteer Coordinator.
