Los Banos Little League offers Little League Baseball, Little League Softball, Tee Ball, coach pitch baseball, kid/coach pitch baseball, and player pitch baseball. The program includes multiple levels such as Tee Ball, A (coach pitch), AA (kid/coach pitch), AAA (competitive player pitch), and Majors (competitive player pitch), with AAA and Majors requiring try-outs.
• Ages: 4–16 years old
• Schedule: Spring season with online registration beginning in November, evaluations and try-outs in late January, teams formed in mid-February, games from early March to late May or early June, and TOC/All Star Games from early June through late July.
Los Banos Little League has been an anchor of the Westside community since 1969. It is a non-profit charitable organization and an all-volunteer program that is the only Little League sanctioned program for boys and girls in Los Banos and neighboring communities. More than 400 boys and girls ages 4–16 participate in seven different divisions of baseball each season, and field status information is provided for multiple parks and fields.
The stated goal of Little League is to help youngsters develop citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being through sports, and to help them learn their own strengths and weaknesses, the meanings of sportsmanship and cooperation, the essence of competition, and the qualities that constitute effective leadership. Los Banos Little League’s mission is to provide a safe, instructional and fun environment for the children of Los Banos, Dos Palos, Santa Nella and Gustine, California, ages 4–16. Chartered under Little League International, Inc. and Little League District 73 of Northern California, it shares the mission to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways the interest of those who participate in Little League Baseball and Softball, with a focus on encouraging participation, developing character and discipline, promoting teamwork, and advocating citizenship and community pride, while providing instruction in baseball skills, sportsmanship, competitiveness, and fair play, and promoting the core values of Character, Courage, and Loyalty.
