Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1995 and is governed by a local volunteer board. It serves over 1,600 youth at 11 sites in Butte and Glenn Counties and employs over 100 youth development professionals, supported by more than 500 community volunteers. The organization’s stated mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens. It has been audited and endorsed by the Grand Jury as a proven program, is a Platinum participant through GuideStar/Candid, is compliant with the Office of State Assembly, serves as a training site for Boys & Girls Clubs and other after school programs, and is described as a model program for youth development best practices. The leadership team includes a chief executive officer, chief operations officer, human resource director, case management director, development director, finance director, mission support director, office services coordinator, accounting and payroll clerk, special events coordinator, multiple site and area directors, and a Pine Ridge School Site Coordinator.
