Marin City Sausalito Football Club (MCSFC) is a non-profit competitive soccer program that offers activities such as competitive soccer, tryouts, player evaluations, leagues, tournaments, structured practices, camps, clinics, and Winter Futsal. Players who missed official tryouts are evaluated individually by experienced coaches, and the club participates in leagues and tournaments against opponents from across Northern California. The organization is dedicated to the development of youth soccer players in Marin City, Sausalito, Marin County, and San Francisco County, and focuses on advancing, promoting, and administering the game of soccer among youth without regard to race, gender, or economic advantage. The club emphasizes creating an environment where youth can be challenged, develop life skills, and learn from each other in a culturally and socio-economically diverse environment, and holds these values at the heart of its culture.
MCSFC uses certified coaching and is driven to level the playing field in competitive soccer for youth by breaking down financial and social barriers to make competitive soccer accessible to all youth. Providing opportunities to kids from socio-economic and racially diverse backgrounds is described as paramount to its mission, and in its first year the club helped one third of its players participate with an average of 75% financial assistance in a “Pay-to-Play” competitive soccer system.
