Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa

Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa serves youth through its clubhouses and related programs. Through its locations, the organization serves over 1,800 youth, including over 110 kids per day and over 500 youth per year.

For over 60 years, the clubhouses have been serving the kids of Contra Costa County. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa is to work to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Through its locations in Contra Costa County, 78% of youth served per day and 68% of youth served per year are youth of color. The organization states that it supports all youth and teens of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion in reaching their full potential. Boys & Girls Clubs of Contra Costa is officially merging with Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley. The Director of Development & Community Engagement for Contra Costa County is Julee Winterbourne. The organization is dedicated to serving every kid in Contra Costa County and is preparing to expand beyond club sites.
