Summer School Programs

Expanded Learning Programs is part of Twin Rivers Unified School District’s Expanded Learning offerings, which include before and after school programs, camps, and summer school. The program is one of several options in a district that also offers 37 Career Technical Education (CTE) programs for students in grades 7–12. Expanded Learning Programs has 3,600 students enrolled as part of the district’s overall participation in these offerings.

Twin Rivers Unified School District states that it has an unwavering commitment to every student's journey to ensure all students graduate college and career ready. The district reports serving approximately 25,000 students from diverse backgrounds, with 53 different languages spoken in the community, and notes that it is the fourth largest school district in Sacramento County. The district reports a 92% graduation rate and one of the largest deployments of electric school buses in the country. Twin Rivers Unified School District also reports employing 3,243 staff members, including the 2011 California Teacher of the Year and the 2010 California Classified School Employee of the Year. The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team in the district works to provide engaging opportunities for parents and the community.
