Alpine Little League offers youth baseball and softball. The program includes activities in both baseball and softball for kids who want to play these sports in an organized setting.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
Alpine Little League has served the families of Menlo Park, Woodside, and Portola Valley since 1960. Its mission is to be an outstanding community organization that creates a culture where kids of all abilities love playing the game of baseball and softball. The organization emphasizes a commitment from players, coaches, parents, board members, officials, and fans to cherish and respect the special role that youth sports play in the development of children. Stated goals include helping players develop baseball and softball skills and understanding of the game, instilling respect for the traditions of the game and all who are involved, teaching the value of individual responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship, and fostering an environment of healthy athletic competition. The organization also seeks to inspire and enable kids to achieve excellence in baseball or softball and in life, to improve each day, to encourage teammates and fellow competitors, and to enjoy camaraderie from pursuing common goals and athletic excellence.
